Instructional Goals:
1. The learners will create a Flipgrip account and become familiar with Flipgrid.
2. The learners will create a Grid (example Mrs. Hancock's Grid) and a topic in Flipgrid for students to respond to.
3. The learners will be able to respond to topics and answers in FlipGrid.
Learners: The learners will be Harrand Creek Elementary teachers that teach grades first through sixth grade. They range from first-year teachers to veteran teachers with twenty plus years of experience. The learners are teachers that want to use technology in a meaningful way and give their students a voice and different way to present their information.
Content: I will be presenting how to use FlipGrid in the classroom. The learners will create a FlipGrid account during the professional development session. I will take them through the steps of creating a grid and then creating a topic that they are currently covering or will be covering in the next lesson. The learners will create a topic that their students will respond to using FlipGrid.
Assessment: I will assess the learners by having them respond to my topic and then creating a topic for their students to respond to. I will also check back with the learners to see if they have utilized FlipGrid and how it went in their classroom.
Feedback: One of my learners has used FlipGrid in her classroom the past two days and loves using it as a formative assessment and exit slip. Her students are also enjoying it.
